WHAT TO PREP

Have something to take notes with. We will be covering a lot of information. I will video record part of our sessions and send them over to you so that you have a visual reminder of the things we worked on. You are welcome to audio or video record during our session as well.

Do not feed full meals before sessions. If your session is around a meal time (bfast/dinner) we will use it during our session. 

Have treats :) variety helps

If you have a pouch you can put your treats in, have one availble. It’s easier than dealing with loose treat bags.

First part of the session is  all about gathering information 

In order to set everyone up for success (you, your dog & I), I will ask that your dog be put away when I first come in. Having your dog either; crated, behind a gate or in another room makes it easier for me to be able to talk to you and gather information without your dog being a distraction. If your dog cannot handle being contained, you may have them on a leash away from the front door.

During consults we will use this time to go through some background, the main issues happening & addressing questions. For follow-ups, I take this time to get an update on how things have been since we last saw each other. 

I love hearing all the details & questions! Please don’t ever be shy to share any and all information. The more information I have, the more I can understand what’s happening. I’m here to help, not judge, we all become a team so open communication is an important part of the process.

Bringing the pup in to train

Even though we are inside, the first few sessions we will have your pup train with the leash on unless otherwise instructed by me. Leash helps us manage situations better &I want your dog to know a leash on means engagement & connection.  We will work through a few skills and finish off with some decompression while the humans recap. 

Payment is due at the end of our session. I accept; cash, Venmo, Zelle or check.

QUE PREPARAR?

Ten algo para tomar notas. Cubriremos mucha información. Puedes grabar audio o video durante la sesión.

No le des comida antes de la sesión. Si tu sesión es cerca de la hora de la comida (desayuno/cena), la usaremos durante la sesión.

Ten treats :) la variedad ayuda.

Si tienes un pouch para guardar las golosinas, ten una disponible. Es más fácil que lidiar con bolsas sueltas de treats.

La primera parte de la sesión se trata de recopilar información.

Para que todos tengan éxito (tú, tu perro y yo), te pediré que guardes a tu perro cuando llegue. Si tu perro... Enjaulado, detrás de una puerta o en otra habitación, me facilita hablar contigo y recopilar información sin que tu perro se distraiga. Si tu perro no tolera estar encerrado, puedes llevarlo con correa lejos de la puerta principal.

Durante las consultas, aprovechamos este tiempo para repasar algunos antecedentes, los principales problemas y responder preguntas. Para las consultas de seguimiento, aprovecho para ponerme al día sobre cómo han ido las cosas desde la última vez que nos vimos.

¡Me encanta escuchar todos los detalles y preguntas! Por favor, no dudes en compartir cualquier información. Cuanta más información tenga, mejor podré entender lo que está sucediendo. Estoy aquí para ayudar, no para juzgar; todos formamos un equipo, por lo que la comunicación abierta es fundamental en el proceso.

Entrenando al cachorro

Aunque estemos dentro, en las primeras sesiones entrenaremos a tu cachorro con la correa puesta, a menos que yo te indique lo contrario. La correa nos ayuda a gestionar mejor las situaciones y quiero que tu perro sepa que una correa puesta significa compromiso y conexión. Practicaremos algunas habilidades y terminaremos con un poco de descompresión mientras los humanos repasan.

El pago debe realizarse al final de la sesión. Acepto efectivo, Venmo, Zelle o cheque.
